I need a mid tower case that is no more than 18 inches deep

Galactic_Gander

I need a mid tower ATX case that is no more than 20 inches high, 18 inches deep, or 12 inches wide. 20 in x 18 in x 12 in.

Why?

Because that is how big my shelf on my desk is.

Why don't I just do mATX?

I currently have a Corsair 350D case and it fits wonderfully. The problem is, I have an SSD but I don't have a motherboard with 6 Gb/s SATA ports. My motherboard (ASUS M5A78L-M USB3) only has 3 Gb/s SATA ports. Also, there are no motherboards that i want to buy that are mATX and will work with my AMD FX-6300 CPU. So my options are get a new motherboard and a new CPU, or get a new motherboard and a case. I think getting a new case will be much simpler. I already have someone who will buy my 350D lined up also.

Final Comments

Really like my 350D so i want a case that is similar to it if possible. I would love to get the 450D, but it wont fit  :(

Case must have a window, have an optical drive bay, have front usb 3 ports, be black, and look cool.

Thanks for the help!

What's makes a ssd feel fast and snappy is the random read speed and random access time which sata 3gb/s doesn't bottleneck.

I don't think you'll even see that much of an improvement from SATA 2 to SATA 3, at least not enough that you should go through all this hassle.

I'm that guy with the GPD Win.

I appreciate the advice and I will continue to think about it, but can someone actually find a case that meets my requirements? I would like to have on in mind if i do decide to go through with it.
