WD SN570 vs 580

I want to replace my 250gb boot drive to a 500gb one as I need more space on that drive. 

From the above two which one would be a better choice?

Currently using a Kingston A2000 250Gb as primary boot drive.

  • B550 Aorus Elite V2 Rev1.2
  • G.Skill TridentZ RGB 3600Mhz 32gb (8gb x4)
  • MSI Mech 2X RX6600

  • Benq Mobiuz EX2510 144Hz

The sn580 is the replacement ofr the sn570 and slightly better. I'd get the sn580 if its the same cost, otherwise get the cheaper one.

Maybe link(s) to the site(s) you are buying from?

 

Both are mediocre dramless ssds

usually you can find some decent dram gen3 ssds around if not lower than their price like the m371, mp34, a80, tempest, etc.

I have two sn570 (512GB)s.
One for my PC bootdrive and second for my laptop bootdrive.
Both are working perfect!

I have a SN550 and it's also pretty good. Thinking of getting the SN570 as 580 is just 570 with newer controller for Gen4 support

SN580 is just SN770 with some firmware performance downgrade, but it’s more similar in performance to the SN770 then SN570.
