So short sum temps were bad (Doing tricks on it at 95°C)

I moved fans + added another

checked water cooling (everything even cpu paste)

Couldn’t find anyway to drop my temps

Dabbled in ryzen master (underclocked) and attempted to lower them and I did

Have to clue how stable it is but I am now running (stress tested with occt on small and large loads)

- 2,400 Mhz Clock speed

- 0.85625 Volts

(if you have better numbers please let me know tested 2.8mhz until stable at 2.4)

Testing it out today all day since it’s the weekend just to see if I have any crashes

Additions in case you relate

-very very bad single fan water cooler

-very bad case flow

-gigabyte b550 UD AC board 1.2

-3060 12 gb 2 fan msi card

All of these are not fixable as no point since thankfully I am upgrading to a very posh set up in a couple months so I am just trying to ride my 5600x out till the new one is done

Question is sum up : Is my current clock state and voltage good? If not what would you recommend given the situation

Even the stock air cooler from AMD is more than enough to cool the 5600X.

I don't know if I would go that far.. but the stock cooler from a 3600XT in a Meshify C was barely able to handle it imo. At least if you want to see good clocks.. I didn't try the little hockey puck that came with 5600X. I just rolled my eyes and giggled.

I am currently using a 5600X with stock cooler. I can leave it running prime95 as long as I want without thermal throttling. Seems ok to me....

I've recently built a PC for a friend with 5700X and slapped a 20€ air cooler on it. It never passed 60°C in CB R20 on a 30min loop.

Are you sure your AIO is actually working or is mounted properly at all? Even a 120mm AIO should handle this CPU easily.

Running p95.. what kind of clocks are you seeing? Probably no where near 4600MHz am I right? My 5600X will run at 4600MHz with a 10GB Linpack Xtreme load. But that is with PBO, not stock.. on a 35 dollar cooler.

I have a 3 fan one for my new one already but I do agree i should’ve a long time ago

With PBO and a mean FCLK/MCLK clock, I can get 5600X to do ~140w PPT, and with a static clock I have seem 150w PPT..

to be honest never found the issue even on base clock it was a constant thermal throttle. I just put her to rest craziest part the water cooler actually cooled my new 5950x on its first start up cause i needed it temporarily and it didn’t even get hot so I actually have no clue what my issue was. But that pc is up in storage now 🙏🏻
