Anyone heard about these high end delta psu's that suddenly went on sale

jaslion

So basically I got a notif that some Delta psu's are on sale the:

Delta gps 1000EB A 22 1000w gold psu for 69

Delta gps 750fb a 22 750w platinum psu for 45

I know delta from the server space and that they are Dells main psu makers as well as others but have a hard time finding stuff on these.

As far as I can find the 750 is the antec hcg from a while ago. But else I come up blank.

Seems weird they'd just have these random units go on sale suddenly.

They were on sale since 2021 and have recently left shelves. So hence they show up on ibood. But still find it quite strange what these are.

Obviously not buying them until I know exactly which they are the oem unit for.

as far as i'm able to find, these are just old SKU's that are now VERY discounted so whatever retailer still has some can get them off the shelf.

presumably want to move some old stock before the end of the year?

as for what they are... i really dont get your confustion here, they're an old model, they're cheap because they want to get the remaining units off shelves, and past that delta is just a PSU OEM the same as SeaSonic is.

More like what unit they would have been like the 750w being the antec hcg.

Just wanna know if these are any way trustworthy to put in some older systems that need a pc to be sold off.

do they need to have been a specific unit sold under another name? it's a 750W delta power supply that's 80+ gold. you dont not buy a seasonic prime gold because you dont know what other name they are sold as...

Nah it's more like the mystery behind it. I think I'll bite and get one.

Just a bit hard to find the age of the units especially since the platinum isn't modular meaning it's either old or well a dell 😛

it.is.a.delta.

delta can make something on their own behalf, it doesnt have to match up with any "brand name" thing on the market, and it not being modular somehow meaning it's a dell model is a deeply flawed statement.. just about every brand has base model units that arent modular, and besides that the modularity is something they can easily add/remove on existing designs.

Yes, It's the same wires, just a split connector. Exactly the same power.

You could, but I wouldn't. I would use two cables. Same as with an 8 pin connector.

Creatively. It's up to you. I don't have a glass side panel, so I personally don't care or try. As long as the cables are out of the way, I leave them.
