Speaker Help

Phantomcorgi94

hi all,

im kinda lost and dont know who to ask,

my amps power rating is; 100 watts (load resistance 6 Ohms, 63 Hz - 12.5 kHz, THD 0.7%)

http://en.all-specs.net/model/316981/

while my speakers have dual input 2x 95W RMS Low Channel @ 8 ohms (1KHz/10% THD)

and 2x 95W RMS High Channel @ 8 ohms (8KHz/10% THD)

is there a way to make the amp signal work with the speakers input?

What speakers?

Typically there are metal "bar's" connecting the high to the low so that you can just connect to one.  The reason they separate the high and low is incase you want to dual amp the speakers.  If you only have two speakers you might be able to configure it to dual amp, but that can be tricky.

The simplest solution is to run from the amp to either high or low and connect high and low to each other.

It would help if you provide the specific model name of your amp and speakers.

It's not clear if you have active or passive speakers

They are 8 Ohm, so they have to be passive.

They appear to have seperate outputs for the tweeter and the woofer. Usually you just connect both and thats it, but in this rare case, where they were part of a system that was tuned specifically for these speakers, this might not be a such a good idea. If there is nothing protecting these tweeters, you might just have destroyed them, if they were not broken before you even got them.

they did have the original amp with them before i got them, is the some kind of circut i can make to get the tweeters to work off of the amp output
