So I’m getting a new monitor at a $200 to $250 price range. It’s for gaming and watching movies. I’m not too snobby about the color accuracy or black levels and that stuff because I’m upgrading from a crap monitor. I would be fine with a 144hz or 240hz, and I’m fine with 1080p but would prefer 1440p. Also an ips panel is my first choice. The two I’m looking at right now is the Samsung LS27BG402ENXGO and the LG 27GN800-B. I’m open to a completely different monitor if those aren’t good choices. Thanks

if this is the us, the best deal right now is this one

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B18HWB9M?smid=A1HMEUY6L6RX3B&th=1

it's the same panel of one of the wide-gamut msi monitors.

if you dont want ktc then this one is better than the LG you linked

Even though the samsung is 240hz, the color coverage is subpar, sorta a tradeoff at that pricepoint for 240hz

The LG 1440p and same panel type. 144hz and 240hz is not as game changing as coming from a 60hz monitor to 144hz monitor. LG is the better choice out of the two. I believe you'll be happier with the LG as 1440p IPS 144hz.

Coming from some one who was once on a 1920x1080 24" 75hz TN panel for 3 years.
