Upgrading My GPU 7900XTX or 4070TI 4K Gaming

Budget (including currency): £900

Country:  UK

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: 4K Gaming 60Hertz

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Ryzen 3600 16Gb 3600Mhz B550 board Nvidia 2060. Wanting to play 4k gaming but my 2060 is alreding struggling to play game in 1440k even using DLSS (Like Hogwarts Legacy) I am using my TV which is 60 hertz

What I am wondering what the better choice is the less powerful 4070Ti which has less Ram but has better upscaling with DLSS3 or the 7900XTX which has nearly double the RAM but the AMD upscaling is nowhere near as good. Also what would he best power supply sizes be best for both cards. I also know rhat the 3600 is going to bottle neck the system is I am going to replace the COU is something around a 5700x or 5800X

My PC AMD Ryzen 3600, Vetroo V5, Nvidia 2060, Lian-Li LANCOOL II .

7900XTX is a lot better value and it has over double the Vram then the 4070ti.

I play Hogwarts Legacy on a RX6700XT and it uses all my 12gb of Vram and additional 2gb of system ram (this is 1080p 75fps)

you are gonna need a new monitor, 4k 60hz is going to be pretty limiting for a 7900xtx.

Do you care about raytracing? Then go Nvidia.

i would eventually upgrade to a 5800x3D not a 5700x if you have a 7900xtx. Get the most out of it 🙂 4k Is going to matter less for cpu, but may as well get the best you can for it.

Will the card no be able to do 4k 60 hertz. do you think the card be be able to handle games for longer than a 4070TI in terms of meeting minimum specd

I don't agree you can play any resolution and refresh rate you want, anything over 75fps doesn/t change a lot, so there isn't a point.

Definity disagree with the Nvidia Choice as there is not enough Vram and general performance over the 7900XTX.

The 4070ti probably cant handle 4k that well compared to the 7900XTX.

(on Techpowerup the 7900xtx has 130% the performance of the 4070ti.

Yeah Ithe price of the AMD crds is better. Do you think the card will be meet minimum specs for longer as my plan is to run this for years till essentially it breaks

Hogwarts Legacy prefers AMD cards and will perform 5-15% better on them (most clear on older amd vs nvidia card)

This is absolutely true and if they're fine with 60Hz then more power to 'em.

There is no different the human eye cant see past 60, so I recommend 75hertz or maybe even 144hertz
