Foxtel is releasing its own TV (Australian Cable/Satellite TV provider) creating more Ewaste

Foxtel, the long-standing Australian Cable/Satellite TV service , is releasing another streaming service "Hubbl" (they already have 4 foxtel now, binge, kayo and flash news), claiming to be an "all-inclusive" streaming solution for Australia. They're venturing into hardware with a TV for Hubble. But for those not keen on a new TV (for no reason), there's a rebranded MiBox S 1st gen from 2018 (gross)
theres no news on pricing or if you can use a smart tv you already paid for or a streaming device you already paid for and which streaming services are actually included聽in the monthly fee and if it has 24 month contracted like their existing Cable/Satellite TV service already has聽
There is also no news if the tv can use another apps or even has HDMI inputs to use something decent聽

Sat. Tv in my opinion today is only useful for a couple of things, such as cable without cables. You get a lot of news from just the internet today. But, I could be wrong if it's different in Australia.

well, yes, yes.................聽 聽thats the point lol.......

(meanwhile in many European countries satellite is still the best option,聽 and its *free* on top of it lol)

all our neighbors have cable (which they pay for) yet we have satellite and get like 99% the same channels聽 *for free*

definitely prefer "cable without cables" personally!聽 馃槈

ok, but here's the thing... maybe just dont subscribe to any new bs "streaming service" that comes around ... and, i don't know use what you already have instead of diving head on in every consumerism trap? just an idea!聽 i mean they don't force you at gunpoint,聽 or are they? (i mean its Australia,聽 so maybe 馃憖)聽
