Why is my ssd so slow?

When you put in a bootable USB stick with Windows install on it (be it official Windows Installation Media or something like Ventoy with Windows ISO on it).
And then you boot from that USB stick and go through the setup process, deleting existing partitions, creating new ones and formatting them.
Clean install, as if you installed it for the 1st time.

There is, you just need to partition it properly, plenty of guides online for that... But like I said, it is best to keep them separated (that way Windows update will not fk up your GRUB when it decides to do a major update, also less risk of accidentally overwriting Windows partitions when installing Linux).

There is, you just need to partition it properly, plenty of guides online for that... But like I said, it is best to keep them separated (that way Windows update will not fk up your GRUB when it decides to do a major update, also less risk of accidentally overwriting Windows partitions when installing Linux).

Also to be sure, isnt partitions reserved disk space for os?

You can just open the PC and look for some model Numbers. 
 

and you didn’t get me the rest of the kingfast smart, the bottom ones, 

and what about the TRIM? Did you check it? 
 

as for the HDD, 4 reallocated sectors, no read errors, I would do a surface deley scan, just to be shure.

Is it this? Also I would probably check the model number later while I can, and note the hdd is from a really old pc we picked up.

Actually, reminds me.  Windows will spaz if ANY drive is dying.  I had that happen to me for a drive that was even disabled in windows.  It was setup as a dual boot for Linux I just hid it from Windows and forgot it was there.  HDD is really bad about bad spots spreading once they start forming...

Replace the drive it was physically damaged its just going to keep scraping that bad spot.

You can just try to disconnect the HDD and see how the PC behaves ( asuming it's only for data ). Power off the PC before disconnecting, and connecting it.

You can also do a full surface deley scan as I mentioned before, to see in what state it surface is (MHDD or victoria)

 

as for the SSD the max erase count is 239, average 157, can be because prolonged use almost full.

for now check the HDD, fastest is tu just disconnect it, and see how the PC behaves. we don’t know if it’s HDD, SSD, or software, Windows, full drive, etc.

 

it can be anything at this point, we don't know yet.

Most will be fine. nvme drives are pretty good for pretty cheap these days.

I tried disconnecting the hdd and it feels like it could have gone slightly faster, or it could just be a placebo effect, not sure but its still slow though.

Ah, I got the model and it is the F10 1TB Kingfast ssd, hope this helps.

Your is MAS1102 + YMTC 128L QLC

There’s nothing to guess here anymore, buy better ssd for OS, this one is at best for the game folder.

As for the Windows, you can just clone you current ssd, to the new one.
just buy a better one, no DRAMless QLC anymore.

If the code is built into your motherboard, it's automatic. 
Otherwise it's either on a sticker or in system info. 

Google it. "How to reuse windows license when getting new drive"

or you can just clone your drive.

Also to add onto the point:
low system RAM + a SATA SSD without its own DRAM and with QLC NAND is a formula for the drive getting worn out.

but kingfast do have on their website, that they use maxio in F10 (just in 2TB model, but apparently now also 1TB), and MLC NAND  ( but MLC is just a marketing like samsung, nobody is doing MLC NAND anymore, and MLC is just for multi level cell technology, so just TLC and QLC )

You can use some cloning software, usually there is something bundle to the new SSD you buy. And if not you can also use some free software to colne the SSD, there are option out there. Just Google it.
