Setting up unRiad

Hey, I just built my server and I'm ready to install unRAID for the first time. However, I have no clue about how to proceed or what steps to follow. I have the USB stick with unRAID on it, and I managed to get it to boot. Now, it's asking me for my login, and the video I was watching said to enter the IPv4 address as mentioned above. But all I can see is 'IPv4 & Ipv6 not set.' Are there any BIOS settings that need to be changed, or does anyone have a good tutorial or information on setting this up for the first time?"

Maybe setting IPv4 manually in the bios?

cant find were to do that first time using an gigabyte bios.

you don't set the ip address in the bios, thats all done in the os.

 

unraid should grab a dhcp address by default. Does it say it gets a ip when you boot it up?

 

Where is it asking for you to login?

What motherboard are you using and what network card. 

UnRAID is based on Linux Slackware. 

Some Linux kernels don't support newer cards and all that I have tried seemed to have issues with Realtek network cards.

Yea think this was it plugged a new nic in and that did the job
