Quality case with very good airflow?

Melodist

What's in your opinion a quality case with good airflow and no flex? Something that feels sturdy and reliable?

What's your budget? I like the lian li lancool 216 and the deepcool cc560 could be a good budget choice. Also the lian li lancool III

Out of the cases I've used, the Lancool 216 is one of my favorites, and for the price it's hard to beat for a mid range to high end build. Only one that might be better is the be quiet! Silent Base 802, but that's nearly double the price for not much better.

Fractal Design North with the mesh side panel is BIS for airflow. No structural problems to speak of. Can handle a +700W build silently without even having the maximum amount of fans the case can support. The TG version is nothing special, however.

How's the sturdiness? Like is it solid or does it flex?

It really depends on what the case offers, around 150 I think, I was about to get the 216 for 100 bucks but am always concerned about bending.

No, it's pretty solid.

I remember that many "quality cases" also flexed which I didn't like.

Have you tried the fractal north? My mobo won't probably fit in there 😵‍💫

The fractal torrent compact is the best case you can get for that price tho Fractal Design Torrent Compact ATX Mid Tower Case (FD-C-TOR1C-01) - PCPartPicker

But the lian li lancool III will offer more space Lian Li LANCOOL III RGB ATX Mid Tower Case (LANCOOL 3R-X) - PCPartPicker

Neither bend

I haven't noticed any flex, and I've built two different builds in this case.

I haven't tried the North yet, I might be within a month or so, but at this moment I have not. From reviews I've seen it looks pretty good though. If your goal was to use the Z690 Ace or Z790 Taichi Lite like IIRC you were planning to from your previous thread though, yeah your mobo won't fit, while it should fit in the 216.

Yeah, I noticed that going through the specs, I love the mounting and specs of this case though, so sad, to not make it available for E-ATX.

The torrent nano looks higher quality to me than the Lancool 216?

Don't really need more space and rather quality or the frame that it's sturdy and doesn't flex.

I like the new Torrent line.

Looks great, and is a top performer.

And its stiffer than I am.

Haha I meant the compact not nano, however, these results from normalizing it do a certain noise level look odd on all the small form factor contenders except the north:

Even though they are supposed to be made for airflow, at low noise level, GPU temps aren't looking that good.

Anybody got an idea what that is?

Based on...?

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

Just the way the sides are attached but I'd have to see that in person.

Do you know why the normalized GPU are so bad for the 216, Torrent compact et cetera compared to the north or is it their testing?

reduced space for the gpu intake fans down below since it's a smaller case. Go for the lian li lancool III as it seems to be the best from my point of view

i think thats just just the fans the come with the case in w/e way they came. the stander case test is were they use 3 fans 2 front 1 back for all case.

case that have bottom intake could benefit from a fan on the bottom but they dont test that. nore do they fill the case up with fans ether.
