You would probably get a lot better respones in the Audio sub forum. It have already been moved. Thanks mods.

 

But anyways. What motherboard do you have? My best guess is that the onboard audio will be as good as any soundcard, especially for a gaming headset.

Is it becuase you need the extra ports?

I would grab some DT 990's, then you might consider a DAC/Amp.
