Sparked my mobo

I was replacing my current 3060 with a 3070. And the backplate around the display ports on the 3070 hit my mobo. From that point I restarted it and everything works fine( that I know of) am I lucky or should I be worrier of future failure?

Was there a visible spark? Is there anything that is acting out of the ordinary; Long boot times, long load times for things, etc.

If it works it works. I wouldn't worry about future failures

If everything works, it works. It's good practice to unplug a PC and hold down the power button for a few seconds to drain the caps before working on it.

If everything checks out to be okay and no visible damage you should be alright!

It's hard to tell, I'm not sure if the 3070 I got was defective or if I broke my motherboard, I was getting visual artificays but I think Iy was the gpu, I got code 43 on it on device manager but now it's working somehow so I hope it says that way.

I've been having issues with my second hand 3070 I don't know if it's working now or not, when I first put it in, it was locked to a low resolution and getting code 43, I couldn't update drivers or it crashed windows, I flashed bios but it would crash the second I try booting into windows sometimes it would artifact but if I move the gpu around the slot it changed color or would get worse or better, just got a gpu sag support and put it under it, and now it works perfect, I'm scared to move or touch it now because I spent hours trying to fix it but now it just works, I tried different sets of drivers flashing it, enable and disabling in device manager ddu reseting drivers, everything but what I think happened is I put my 3060 back in before I gave up, but when I tried the 3070 today it booted first try so maybe my 3060 fixed the drivers on my pc or idk what.
