What has been your experience with an all AMD laptop?

I've tried the rog and advantage and in my experience it's still buggy to this day. So I'm wondering what has your experience been? I get crashes and the GPU will sometimes fail to detect on boot up.

I ask because I was sad to see the framework 16 being all AMD so it changes my opinion. I think I'll wait for an Nvidia option or wait it out a couple years.

My little Dell laptop is fine

Ryzen 5800X3D(Because who doesn't like a phat stack of cache?) GPU - 7700Xt

                                                           X470 Strix f gaming, 32GB Corsair vengeance, WD Blue 500GB NVME-WD Blue2TB HDD, 700watts EVGA Br

~Extra L3 cache is exciting, every time you load up a new game or program you never know what your going to get, will it perform like a 5700x or are we beating the 14900k today? 😅~

You sure those are bugs and not the laptop being faulty?

No, I can't be positive. I chalked it up to software because the amd adrenaline would also uninstall itself and disappear. I don't mess with over clocking because I don't understand it fully.

Ok here is  one! I had to RMA this( https://www.asus.com/us/laptops/for-home/zenbook/zenbook-pro-duo-15-oled-ux582-12th-gen-intel/ ) laptop because of a bios update rendering it useless on battery power. After a horrible RMA experience they replaced it with a new laptop https://www.asus.com/us/laptops/for-home/zenbook/zenbook-pro-duo-15-oled-ux582-12th-gen-intel/

Anyway I never could get the photos to transfer from my iphone 13 pro max to the photo app in windows 11pro on the zenbook duo. I experienced freezing during transfer and when it did i had corrupt files grayed out boxes. i would say a little over or under half got transferred thats the only issue with that intel i9 12900h i had until the Bios update.

As soon as i plugged it in (iphone) to the duo 16 AMD ryzen 9 6900hx It recognized the phone instantly. I selected all and  then transfer and it went all the way through no hiccup 12,978 photos and videos . I remember the intel saying something about incompatible heic something .....

conclusion : I am loving this laptop! Not one issue yet with any of my programs from Adobe suite to music Daws. It powers through everything and stays cool doing it! I would say real world performance i would take the AMD over the Intel.

Has nothing to do with AMD. i've had several amd-free computer, even from work. Never have i had a System that just runs.

In the past 2 years i've had 4 different work computers (Intel business Notebooks), i've had a Bluescreen on every single one of them within the first 2-3 months, and the one or other freeze.

There is absolutely Nothing wrong with AMD.

Man that is such a sexy looking laptop. All these issues seem to be tied to moving the I/O silicone off of the CPU die. BRING BACK BUS TOPOLOGY PLEASE.

Disclaimer here that I LOVE AMD mobile solutions usually. I have had think-pads and dell precision for 15+

Have you ever used a laptop with the AMD v140? That was one of my first laptops and it actually compete with the somewhat modern AMD A series chips all these years later but man that thing got hot hot.
