Hey everyone,

This is my first thread on website 😀. I have seen an Indian youtuber who builds the pc for video editing (i5-i9 sometime with k series) and he claims his pc can render a full hd video of 1hr in 10minutes.

Latest build - i5 12400 with 16gb Ram and no graphics card. Same claim his pc can render a full hd video of 1hr in 10minutes or less.

So I want to know how he is achieving this blazing fast speed from his builds. He says he do some bios settings to achieve this but I am thinking what bios settings he tweaks because its a i5 processor (without k series).

I know only ram xmp setting in bios which will unlock full protentional of ram. Anyone know other settings ? or have any idea ?

The video rendering speed really depends on the exact task. That time seems doable with that hardware if your using the right codecs

There really isn't much to go off here. Normally there isn't tweaks in the bios to get way more performance out of a system. Enable XMP, and your good. Things like turboboost are on by default normally.

Oh right , right codec may be the main part to achieve this speed.

Do you have any idea of good codec which would be supported by 4k television and mobile and that same codec video will render fast on i7 12700 pc.

He also claim the software timeline will be smooth and his i5 12400 can even beat i7 machine.

h264 works with most things and is pretty fast to encoder.

I don't see how the 12400 would beat a 12th gen i7 like a 12700, but it could easily beat a older i7.

Okay your efforts are appreciated.

I have a video project that will take 40 hours to render on a 13900K. It's all about the length of the video, quality, and bitrate.

44 hours to render, and another 32-46 hours for transcode.

If he is making big claims and not giving specifics then you have to ask why is he not giving specifics.

I can make some wild-ass claims about the Athlon XII in my garage and do some hand-waving explanations about bios tweaks and NASA tantalum capacitors.  But, I provide no details or proof, wild-ass claims they remain.

I commented on his videos but not upto the mark replies.

Yeah exactly no proof = wild-ass claims.

Saying video rendering speed is like saying fps in game without specific graphics setting. Like, bit rate, encode method(h264 or h265), how many effects added in the video, etc. Also from my experience, the gpu actually has more effect on rendering speed

Personal spec:

MB: ROG SRTIX Z690-A D5 WIFI

Only if you're using a rendering program that uses the GPU. Resolve, for example, only uses the CPU unless you pay for the pro license.

Sure if they are just re-encoding footage from format to another. Add effects, cuts and stuff like that, different situation. So they most likely have Handbrake running at premade settings. But if they make same claim regardless of hardware, then its just tweaking settings to make it easier for said hardware.
