PC Running Of A Home Inverter

redpanda9800
Go to solution Solved by redpanda9800,

since you dont have a UPS as of right now & is relying on the wall, i'd suggest that you get a UPS ASAP. half a second doesn't seem much , but if that is fluctuating like hell , you're gonna have a hard drive problem soon.not immediately. but SOON

Get a line interactive UPS if possible.

I will Get A UPS

Hey Guys

This Is My Situation

I Have a home inverter which has enough juice to run my PC

But There is a G-A-P Between The Main Current Disconecting and the Inverter Kicking In About Half A Second

Is This Gap Bad For A Computer ?

I Thought About It And Came Up With A Solution.....

I Have A 550watt PSU

I will buy A cheap 600va(350watt) UPS

And I will connect the UPS To the inverter

Will The UPS Handle The Time Between The Main Current And The Inverter ?

Thanks In Advance

Anyone going to actually help the dude or are you just going to take the piss?

What do you mean by inverter? Are you running a 120-240v inverter?

Half a second is enough to Turn off the PC. You should buy a UPS instead of an Inverter for your PC.

By half a second i mean not a blackout but a voltage decreace before it comes back

But the 600v UPS will hold it for half a second right ?

Yes, that wouldn't be a problem. Inverters are made to provide stated voltage continuously.
