I am looking into buying either an RX 6800 XT, or getting an TTX 3080 Ti. If I can get them for around the same price, (3080 Ti used or open box) which one will last longer and which one should I get? Planned CPU: Ryzen 7 5700X overclocked to basically a Ryzen 7 5800X.

have you checked for 6950xts?

if its the same price id go 6800xt, simply because vram and very similar performance

850 is more than enough, i could run my 7900xtx at 460watt on my 750 watt psu

the 5700x will be able to handle it just fine

with a 6950 xt at 1440p the 5700x won't bottleneck it or the 3080ti

that's fine for a 4090. And even with a cpu at 105 watt tdp you still got 600 watts for gpu so you'll be fine

I heard it will reach 6950 XT levels of performance, so that’s why I wanted to ask.

Yeah, but they were both pretty much the same amount of helpful, so I’ll just mark one. That’s why I didn’t mark anything yet as the solution.
