It's happened before with thermal paste. I'm guessing it's either because they couldn't sell it otherwise, just as a form of marketing, and/or they're relying on people not filing out rebates.

Lol.I also remember when they were selling some quite old GPUs(from 2007 or something).They were like $5 each.The catch was you could only buy 170 of them,not one,but only 170.xD
