OK got a steam deck, but I was offered a ONEXPLAYER AMD® - 8.4 Inch Ryzen® 5700U can I ask is this better than my steam deck?. I'm tempted as the CPU is better but unsure about the gpu, and plus its nice since its Windows.

Looking at the 2, they both have the Radeon 8 core gpu. Personally, the Onex looks better on paper. But as Its a device that I am not familiar with, the steamOS was designed for steam, but as you mentioned that the OneX runs windows, which could help with game compatibility as steamdeck uses a custom linux.

yeah would like to know as it sounds so tempting but not sure if the gain is significant enough. Though Windows is a huge plus in my book.

I would ask why the person initiating the trade is, if the OneX is better and they want trade plus cash, why are they wanting to trade at all? Unless you initiated this trade it sounds like the OneX user thinks the Steam Deck is better.

He needs money, and the steam deck is easier to sell.

I'd prefer the SteamDeck just in case something goes wrong. You can easily get it repaired and buy parts for it from iFixit.

Dunno about ONEXPLAYER. Do they offer the same repairability?
