All it changes is him not having to do business administration anymore so he can focus on continuing to push for content, events, merch and such to be done as he likes as he's always done without being distracted as much.

yes, it will affect LTX greatly.

 

linus not being stuck on doing administration means he can get much more involved in making LTX a great experience.

 

(insert some sarcasm here, i'm being overly positive just for the meme)

He did mention that he will be in more videos and everything so that's a plus as well 🙂

he's still the boss, but he delegated the boring paperwork of being a boss to someone more suitable for the position.

 

perhaps he should have just gone with MD instead... (managing director)

Yeah, I think OP is conflating "CEO" with "in control of the company".

 

Linus isn't CEO anymore, but he is still the overall "boss" of the company. The CEO will still report to Linus on any major decisions about the direction of the company. Only thing Linus gave up is the day-to-day running the company business decisions.

It's the CEO's responsibility to do what's best for the shareholders.
Linus and Yvonne are the two sole shareholders (51% and 49%)

 

Linus stepping down as CEO is probably the best decision for EVERYONE. He gets to be in more videos and have more bandwidth for great ideas.
