Nope, from my own experience you have to set it up with a GPU then you can post and boot headless. I am doing that with a B450M S2H V2 and R5 3600 using Proxmox, it complains that there is no GPU present (by beeping 4 times) on post but other than that it works fine.

So I have an old case, a motherboard (Asus Prime b550m-a ac), and a Ryzen 5600. I have recently gotten around to upgrading each of these parts over the course of a number of months, so they have just been sitting around. I am looking to get into the home server world and run something like proxmox to mess around with virtual machines and the like. I know the CPU I have doesn't have integrated graphics, and if I were to plan on using it in another desktop PC build, I would need some sort of discrete GPU to get video output. I am going to run this server headless and in my closet and then remote in when I want to mess around with it. Does anyone know if it is possible to set up the server from the first boot without having a GPU in the machine? I know I could take out the GPU from my main machine and put it in the server to get it up and running, but that is a little time-consuming and a pain in the butt.
