Current Build - Thoughts on RTX Upgrade?

FIXD IT

Not even sure why I'm doing this at this point - I have no time to game, but I see the GPU prices collapsing thanks to Crypto taking a bath + a downturned economy.

I currently run an i7 10900k + GTX 1660S combo. Is it a waste to go 3070 or 4070 when it comes to bottlenecks, in your opinions? I primarily use it for graphic and web design renders for my computer repair business lately.

Any insight would be appreciated. Other specs include:

32GB of DDR4 Ram (3200MHz)

About 12 HDD's. I have a problem.

Appreciate any feedback,

Does your software use GPU in a significant performance affecting way that is slowing you down? If yes, an upgrade will help. Otherwise, no point.

Hi there,

A 1660S to 3070 isn't a huge jump in power but the 3070 is faster. Going to a 4070 is a bigger power jump and you would notice that, the 1660S is a great GPU but then the 4070 is far greater.

The i7 is a bottleneck especially for 4080.

Core i9-10900K and GeForce RTX 3080

PC Builds

This configuration has 27.8% of processor bottleneck .

That's an example of a bottleneck to 3080, 4080 will be higher.

Bit of a tech guy, converted to PC's when consoles did not entertain me enough, the last console being an Xbox, was fun with Halo multi-play though. But  the want to discover, to test, to learn more about computers drove me to levels I had never known...

Some GPU's I have had, 8800GTS 384MB, 7800GT, GEFORCE 4 MX440, 250GTS,  770 GTX, 1650 GTX, RTX 3050 Plus many other GPU's over the years...

The respect I have for LMG is massive like a black hole, sucking in all the knowledge, I watch their awesome video's, their knowledge is like that of a God. Seriously some say they are number 1 in the whole wide world. LMG is like the INTEL fabrication plant. Beaming with technology goodness...
