Which Radeon RX 6950 XT should I get?

The options are:

• Asrock Phantom Gaming OC
• XFX Speedster Merc319 Black 
• Sapphire Gaming OC Nitro+ 

These three cards are the cheapest RX 6950XT in our market. The prices include VAT.
All three should have a good design and decent voltage regulation. And very similar cooling.

The Asrock one is about ~40€ cheaper than the other two. That's 5% of the price. And it has 3 8-pin PCI-E power headers.

 

The Merc319 XFX looks the best (in my opinion) and it has quick-release (easily swappable) fans. 2 8-pin power headers.

 

The Sapphire Nitro also has quick-release fans and it would be my 4th Sapphire card.

All Sapphire cards I had were decent, I did not have any major issues (except the fan issue of the 5700XT). It has 2 8-pin and a 6-pin.

Potentially the best cooling design of those (separate plate for memory cooling for example).

 

All of them offer a 3-year warranty. None is a bad choice. Marginal performance differences.

 

My main system is here in the signature (Ryzen 5900X, Seasonic 850W Platinum PX, 1440p).

considering the raising energy prices in europe, and the 70 watt higher power draw of the 6950 xt vs the 6900 xt I would get the 6900 xt. 

 

But if i were going off of those three models I would get the Merc XFX since it has the best cooling to power ratio

thats weird, it should cost less. Anyway I was only suggesting it for the lower wattage, only if it was cheaper, nvm then. Go for the MERC or the nitro+. The asrock doesn't make much sense as they only offer a 1 year warranty

They offer a 3 year warranty too, the same as XFX or Sapphire.

oh ok nvm so thats only on their mobos then. I would still get the other two since the asrock has a lower boost clock (at least the merc defo does)

for me the 6950xt asrock is 650, what country are u in? ill check if they ship there, the nitro is 780 here so id rather get the cheaper one

Yeah, it shows the cheapest available in the webshops and some stores. It crawls through webshops online data. Something like PCPartpicker but general.

While I don't have the Nitro+ RX 6950 XT, I do have the Nitro+ RX 6900 XT and I think it's a beastly card, pretty good thermals as well. It's now in my 2nd rig, doing a kickbutt job, even handles DSR at '4K' with FSR2 at 'Quality' setting on my 4K 60Hz TV, so I can't complain.

The Nitro+ lineup is basically the best cooled tier of GPUs. If the prices are similar Nitro+. If you have a case with good airflow, it should stay at 76°C under 100% load and under 30db of noise. This is extremely impressive even if the temp might look a bit higher. Critical junction temperature for these GPUs is 115°C, so plenty of headroom.

The Define R5 with 2 front 120mm P12, 1 bottom P14, 1 side P14 and a rear P12 + 3 P12 as exhaust on the radiator isn't bad for airflow, but compared to modern cases it could simply be mid-range.
