Display going dark when switching to 144Hz. 60 Hz works just fine.

144 Hz was working fine until a few days back, when I noticed all games were running at 60Hz. And now it seems I cant change from 60Hz to 144 Hz at all. It gives me a black screen with a line of display up top. Please help I donot know what to do.

I have an HDMI cable, I'm thinking to get a new DP cable to check. I'll update as I check things.

Checked with a new DP cable. Same issue. It's definitely not the cable.

I have been trying to contact Samsung regarding the warranty, but they keep closing my tickets again and again. Even though my product is on warranty, I cant get it replaced.

Sorry for replaying so late.

Can you call them? Because of the warranty? Don't let them off the hock

Next thing check cable use another cable.

Do you have Nvidia go into their controll program and set the 144 Hz manual

You might wanna try 143 hz as well.

I have tried changing DP cable, reinstalling driver, tried it on different monitor. The problem is only with this one.

Today the samsung guy came after picking on them for over a month, he changes monitor motherboard and its still the same.

He said he will look into the problem and let me know again.

I'm having the same exact issue, I went to my display settings and noticed it was at 60hz, i changed it to 144hz and it black screened. 120hz works fine, i have a AOC monitor, so maybe it's a nvidia or windows thing? I have a ryzen 5 5500 with RTX 3050, please reply to me if you find any fixes or other posts with similar problems
