Agree with @Dedayogbut if your really desperate I think maybe you could delete your account and then create a new one.

I might be experienced, but I'm human and I do make mistakes. Trust but Verify! I edit my messages after sending them alot, please refresh before posting your reply. Please try to be clear and specific, you'll get a better answer. Please remember to mark solutions once you have the information you need. Expand this signature for common PC building advice, a short bio and a list of my components.

 

Common build advice:

1) Buy the cheapest (well reviewed) motherboard that has the features you need. Paying more typically only gets you features you won’t use. 2) only get as much RAM as you need, getting more won’t (typically) make your PC faster. 3) While I recommend getting an NVMe drive, you don’t need to splurge for an expensive drive with DRam cache, DRamless drives are fine for gamers. 4) paying for looks is fine, just don’t break the bank. 5) Tower coolers are usually good enough, unless you go top tier Intel or plan on OCing. 6) OCing is a dead meme, you probably shouldn’t bother. 7) "Bottlenecks" rarely matter and "Future-proofing" is a myth. 8) AIOs don't noticeably improve performance past 240mm and don't improve at all past 360mm. 9) RTFM.

Thats not what delete feature is for. Its for those who actually want to leave.

 

@GiantWolf, we hope that you would be fine with your posts being as is, its part of who you are as person to have history, even on internet. If you still feel like there is something (or all) that you want to be removed, please PM me or any other moderator. I would advice against editing content as that will at worst leave threads stumpy.

If there is some specific post you want deleted for some reason, you can maybe report your own post and write a reason, I have done so in the past. (Double post, replied to the wrong thread).

They probably wouldn't be happy if you did it on plenty posts at once or too often tho....

I always cringe looking back at some of the things I have said before. It does not help that I do not remember writing 99% of it.

While this advice is applicable to everyone, including me, the past is the past. You cannot undo it - simply editing your posts doesn't change the fact that you've stated something, especially when you've been quoted saying it. You can't change that. You can only move forward. You should look at your posts as a less mature and knowledgeable version of yourself, and move on with yourself. It's not worth worrying about what you may have said in the past.

This is something some trolls and bad-mouths try to do. Problem for them is that moderation can see edit history. For the same reason you aren't allowed to remove your own posts and why deleting account has couple of days of delay. We have to have tools to keep unwanted behaviour out of forums while giving tools for those with legit reasons to act.

 

An example of wanting to make deeper purge is using real name as username or part of it. For first name, I personally don't see issue. Maybe if you are living in small area, posting name and location tells someone too much. But that would be good reason to do deeper purge of posted content. And for that reason too we ask to contact moderation about it.
