Thanks in advance The only thing id concern on is cooling but that is so below MSRP and even used market that id pull the trigger. The only thing youre missing on is the 3DVcache on the X3D variant of the 5800X but itll be a massive IPC jump regardless. Posted April 10, 2023 The 5800X is more than 20% faster than the 3800X, which is a noticeable performance boost. Since you have a 3080, you'll likely be able to notice a boost in most games (apart from GPU demanding single-player titles where you max out the settings). Posted April 12, 2023 I'd upgraded my main rig from the R9 3900X to the R9 5900X, pretty good difference in framerate where my GPU isn't a bottleneck, which it isn't (mostly) at 3840x1080.
