I got some fan replacements for my rx 570 4gb and when I tried to unplug the gpu fan socket it would not budge at all , so I took off the heat sink and tried again , I pulled gently , then I put more strength into it until the socket came out like this .

The pins are completely out. Then I tried to separate the fan from the broken socket (they were the hardest Lego pieces to separate) and I am left with this , I tried to plug in like that the new fans but they are not getting any power. Any advice?

Update (5th April) : Dropped it at a pc repair service.

Final result : The shop repaired it , only costed me 3 euro.

Solder pads seems fine to me

I'd try resolder, make sure the pinout is correct.

Uh oh, that's a pretty major screw up. You ripped the whole header out, it's going to need to be re-soldered.

It should be a simple re-solder. But you won't know until it's done if that will work or not. I'd suggest if you have never soldered before taking it to someone who has, either a friend or family member you trust with it or to a shop that has experience is your best bet.

no it doesnt, it gets compacted.

Gonna need a close up pic of the second pic to know for sure but I'd say you should be able to resolder it.

I got it very cheap some years ago , it looks horrible but works just fine.

I will see if I find anyone who can re-solder it.

buy a cheap soldering kit, they cost less than 20 euro where i live and if you canwait a few days there are even cheaper ones on AliExpress with 10 day shipping. its a really easy solder job

That's my bad, it was such a fresh reply it didn't compact for me, and I forgot it auto hides it.

It's fine. Wasn't hard to do, just in case you are using some sort of special tweak or there's a bug that made it uncompacted.

Cheers.
