Alternative to Teamviewer?

I use teamviewer to control my pc from work, and to help my friends when they have tech related issues. Though recently it's been very bad, like sometimes itll freeze up, stutter, bad audio and most of the time no audio, portions of the screen won't update, overall performance, etc. I was wondering if anyone knew any better alternative? Prefereably one with hardware based encoding and can take advantage of high speed network
