The all new HTC One M8 is undoubtedly one of the best phones out there. One of the major features it lacks is a great camera and optical image stabilisation, both of which will be resolved in the all new HTC One M8 Prime which is sheduled to be released in September this year. To find out more awesome advancements that this phone will be having against the present HTC One M8 please refer to the following article by GSMArena.

I hope it's 16Mp

With 4K recording!

Also make it available in a Google play edition. That would be the perfect phone!

Yes, hopefully it will sell at flagship price while the M8 gets a price reduction.

Still this seems like the usual slight upgrade HTC likes to release after half a year or so from the flagship which hasn't worked well in the past, then again we might see a push for even higher end devices from Samsung and HTC, which sounds more like an excuse to jack up prices even higher.

well the only complaint people have is the camera, so this to me seems like a major upgrade to an already fantastic phone.

I hate this prime idea, its like lets release a new phone, and then a week later release another new phone because the first one was rubbish (well its not but it makes it look that way to the unknowing consumer)

I mean COME ON, why didnt you just make the one M8 perfect in the first place and wipe the floor with everyone

1) Because they can.

2) Because the Snapdragon 805 is not yet available.

3) Because the QHD displays they are going to use can't be produced in big enough numbers today.

4) Because then they can look at customer feedback from the previous and fix all those issues fast.

5) Because humanity seems to favor progression so much that they will buy those phones.

cos reasons

Yeah, that stuff is understandable, but 4/5 months after the first? Even Apple give you a year.

I just find it annoying. New models and improvements are fair enough. If they brought out the HTC Two, in 4 months, I would find that ok. If it was really something new and better. but its basically like going, hey do you know that phone you have? well you have the shitty version please spend £600 on a phone and we will make you feel worthless in a few weeks :) thanks

That's not what this is.

This is a replacement for the first gen One Max, the larger sized One variant. The new model will be larger than the current One M8 and so isn't a direct flagship replacement.

Ryzen 9 5950x | NH-D15 | ROG STRIX X570-F | G.Skill 32GB DDR4 | MSI Ventus RTX 3080 | WD Black SN850 1TB PCIe 4 | Samsung 850 EVO + 860 EVO 1TB | Corsair 5000D Airflow

Dell S3422DWG | Dell S2721DGF | Corsair K70 RGB Keyboard | Logitech G502 Lightspeed | ATH-R70x
