What are youre opinions on my planed build?

Budget (including currency): ~1200€ (plus used 3070)

Country: Germany

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Manly Gaming (War Thunder, GTA)

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

I have two 1440p Monitors which i would like to be able to use with it. (I already have all the other peripherals that i need)

Hello everybody,

Im new here so I hope this is the correct place for this. I want to build my first PC and wanted some input on my part selection. I manly play War Thunder (currently on my Laptop that i use for Uni) so not the most demanding game but i would like to play it at 1440p. The parts that I selected are Listed below:

  • AMD Ryzen 5 7600 3.8 GHz 6-Core Processor
  • Asus PRIME X670-P WIFI ATX AM5 Motherboard
  • G.Skill Ripjaws S5 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-5200 CL28 Memory
  • Samsung 970 Evo Plus 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 3.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive
  • Fractal Design North ATX Mid Tower Case
  • be quiet! Straight Power 11 750 W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply
  • (Windows 11 Home)

https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/dy4vXy

For a graphics cards I would buy a used 3070 but i want to get the PC first to be able to test the card when I buy it.

My main Question to you all are the following:

  • Is the 7600 powerfull enough to not bottelneck a 3070 in gaming (at 1440p)?
  • Is the ram a good fit for a AMD CPU, I read (and watched some LTT videos) that they are senestiv when it comes to ram?
  • Is the motherboard a good choice?

And as a small explanation I wanted to go with a new Ryzen CPU to maybe be able to upgrade the CPU in the future without having to buy a new motherboard.

Also some gerneral advice is welcome not just answers to my questions.

Best regards Tee

the 7600 would not even bottleneck the 3070 at 1080p. SO 1440p would be perfectly fine for the 7600

For the ram its better to not so fast but not so slow RAM so go for a 32gig kit of corsair vengeance ram at 5600mhz

for a 7600 a board like the b650 tomahawk is more than enough

Yeah, def an available option there for OP, but remember that unless we went so rock bottom with QLC caching and no DRAM cache whatsoever, nvme would still be heck of a lot faster than SATA SSD. The Exceria uses an SLC mode caching on a TLC flash and the 25-50% sequential speeds are... acceptable. Nothing id write to praise on.

I mean you did pick a pretty well traced board, so unless if OP has reverse luck-of-the-irish situation, id trust it to be pretty stable.

Thanks a lot for you’re guys feedback. I think I will use you’re suggested build only with non rgb fans and a Samsung ssd (i replaced the ssd in my laptop with 970 and I was really happy with it).
I’m going to try the ram and just hope I don’t have
