My second build made by myself

Sima01

Hello,

I recently upgraded from i5-10400F, GTX 1660, ASRock B460 Pro4 to Ryzen 5 5600x, RTX 3060 Ti, 2x16 Kingston Fury Renegade and Gigabyte B550 Gaming X V2 with BeQuite Straight Power 11 750W. Mostly I changed out everything beside storage, case and fans.

My first concern was wraith cooler so at the last minute I went Arctic Freezer 34 eSports Duo to cool this CPU and I was not wrong, It really needs better cooling.

Did I choose components wisely? What do you guys think about it, will it be enough some day to upgrade to lets say Ryzen 7 5800x3d or even better Ryzen? Maybe even a better GPU in 2 years.

Thermals are great, CPU temperature doesn't go over 68C as far as I monitored it, I tried Cinebench R23, 3DMark, CPU-Z Stress Test. GPU temps don't go over 70-72C aprox.

Cables are mess but I built it in hurry so yeah, will take care of that. 2 Back fans are exhaust, one front fan pulls fresh air to the GPU, case iz NZXT H510 and its not that bad as people tell it is in terms of cooling.

The reason you are cooled well enough in that case is because you have a low heat output pc in there.

The issue happens with people using like a i7 13700k + 3080 class card.

Now as for the pc I would have actually gone a different route and kept the 10400 as its still a decent gaming cpu and dumped everything into the gpu

Reason for choosing Ryzen was 1080 performance, i play allot of esport titles, and ryzen more than doubles the performance in csgo for high refresh rate monitors, same for league of legends etc.

massive sidegrade in my opinion, even for 1080p. 5800X3D would be a huge jump yeah but i dont think it is worth rebuying for an EOL platform especially when a 13500-B760 combo can beat it in CSGO for the price of a 5800X3D, and for 50 USD more you couldve gotten a 7600X-B650 set. Mind you of course this is US pricing, countries have different depreciation curves for EOL products.

7600x is 300€ here and I bought 5600x for 135€ brand new, 155€ and i sold company of heroes that was with it.

EOL or not, it delivers the same performance at the end of the day, this gives me new warranty. Sold the old gear made some amount of money. I feel pretty happy with this one, even if i ulgrade to ryzen 7 5800x3d later on, it will be more than enough for my needs, I dont have a need to jump the new series train since as i explained its more than double the price of 5000 series in Croatia. When I feel the drops in performance with this one, I will just drop second hand 5800x3D and it will probably satisfy my needs for low amount of money. Its just a different market.

Yay, MSRP Zen 4s, fun. In its MSRP all 7000 series arent even worth a glance especially with DDR5 early adopters tax.

It is expensive, performsnce wise, 5600x can run any esport title paired with rtx 3060 ti at 144 FPS, i think

Never had performance issues yet and it was affordable.

Maybe in a year or two, need to see the market then.
