gain is set to 100% and when i go down to 95% its too low imo. I seen many people with this setup and I think I'm the only one needing it to be set at 100%. Wondering is this normal or is something not right

What is the mic connected to? is there a button for - db / +db? some devices have this, mics should be set as mono inputs in most cases, dose the mic itself have a button or switch for db control? some do, need more information to help

Ryzen 5800X3D(Because who doesn't like a phat stack of cache?) GPU - 7700Xt

                                                           X470 Strix f gaming, 32GB Corsair vengeance, WD Blue 500GB NVME-WD Blue2TB HDD, 700watts EVGA Br

~Extra L3 cache is exciting, every time you load up a new game or program you never know what your going to get, will it perform like a 5700x or are we beating the 14900k today? 😅~

The mic is the Shure MV7X and the interface is the Focusrite 2i2. There is no settings in the mic it's self. The video below will show you the setup.

If you aren't able to achieve desired loudness you'll either need a beefier audio interface, or can get an in-line pre-amplifier like the cloudlifter or fethead.

Yea the smaller focusrites have nice clean inputs like the bigger ones but they lack the amp power like the bigger ones, I use a sperate preamp with mine but I don't recall having to turn up the gain that far the couple times I didn't use the preamp, I'm not familiar with this mic, is it dynamic, condenser, ribbon? Have you tried the other input for the giggles just to see if the situation is the same? if its not a mic the requires 48v you should turn that off
