So I received my new EVGA GTX 780 hydro copper GPU's and installing them was meant to be a 20 minute job, yet turned out to be atleast 2 hours. Inbetween each GPU there is about 37mm of space, where as SLI flow bridges only come in about 39mm unless you get a custom one from the block manufacturer which I don't think EVGA has. So here is the result, a quite ugly configuration I think.

My PC is becoming a hobby and I plan to do a lot more work to make it look and perform better, so eventually il get rid of the hydro copper water blocks, this is my first time having hydro copper blocks and I was quite excited, now disappointed.

sorry you found out the hard way on SLI, single GPU is fine..

Put 2 straight compression fittings between the 2 GPUs and use a small piece of tubing between them.

I will always have SLI, I just prefer having the extra raw power, also if the 790 had already been released, I would have purchased it.

I tried that but there's not enough room.

If it can't go any shorter then 2 slots then it won't fit, I need something in between 1 and 2 slots long.

An extender with a male to male fitting? Take the graphics card out of the case or whatever and just screw it on

Put a ruler between the two blocks and tell me the mm

The distance between the two holes on the top should be 39mm

If it is not, try lifting your top GPU a bit, because it may be sagging

Having the flow bridge in between the GPU's was pushing them apart and bending the bottom GPU, also I measured about 37mm.

There might be something wrong with your PCI-E lane spacing...

The standard is 39mm

Have you tried putting them 1 more lane apart? (if your motherboard supports it)
