iPhone 4s User Switching Teams, Needs Help

Alright, guys, here's the run down. I'm currently using an iPhone 4s and I'm due for an update this week. I use my phone mostly for music, texting, Tumblr, and taking pictures/videos. I don't really play games on my phone because usually my battery dies too quickly. I doubt that would change with a new phone because I'm more then happy playing games on my computer. I use most of the social apps like Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, and possibly Instagram. I plan on installing a new launcher and stuff so the UI out of the box doesn't really matter. I could care less about the build quality because I'm just going to get a plastic phone case anyways. Also, being able to expand the storage with MicroSD is a must. Any suggestions on what phone I should get? I know you're all into the M8 so if you could list reasons why a specific phone would be better than another, that'd be great. Thank you!

Been looking at the Galaxy S4 & S5.

TL;DR

Upgrading from a 4s and I'm looking for a phone with:

• Expandable Storage
• Respectable camera
• Good/decent battery

Don't care for:

• Build quality (Example: Galaxy S5 Plastic vs HTC One M8 Metal)
• Speaker quality or loudness
• Out of the box UI

The S4 uses an older Snapdragon 600 which won't last 2 years so the S5, Nexus 5, and G2 are my recommendations.

if u really want android get the LG G3 coming really soon or LG g2  mainly because of the big battery (everything else is great)

htc m8 or galaxy s5. both are equal, with the htc m8 being slightly faster, and the s5 having a better camera. 

 

but you better get rid of touchwiz. it is disgusting.

I have a note 3 which is great, but the GS5 is the best option right now...

It's all up to your preference. If you want a sweggie, nice lookin' phone, get the M8, otherwise if you want a crapload of bloat and random features get the S5.

I have the S5 and I love it. Like you I don't care about speaker quality or loudness or build materials. The biggest features of the S5 that I love are: it's water resistant and the auto focus on the camera is lightning fast! Battery life is great. 2 days of medium to heavy usage or 3 days with light use age. Screen is also amazing and haven't had trouble viewing it in bright light unlike previous Samsung phones.

If you want to stick with the iphone, the 5Ss battery life is far better than the 4S. I get more use out of my 5S than I did on my SIII and roughly the same as the note II
