I am very interested in getting one of these when I work on my network at the hotel that I work at. I am the Internet Service Manager at this property for an Event Tech Company. My concern before I purchase this will this overheat my PC.

 

Anybody has any thoughts maybe a review of this on LTT, I am sure you know the struggle when you are checking out 47 floors to make sure that all floors are broadcasting the correct SSIDs when you have to work with a hotels NSP.

Would depend on the laptop. Where are the intake and outlet vents, does it even need fans to run at all when checking network stuff? Some newer laptops will run fanless unless under decent CPU load.

My company has given me a DELL 17in Precision 3570 - 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1255U   1.70 GHz.  Windows 11
