Can we get a Tech Fan Fiction forum added?

In reading recent posts, I have noticed that there are quite a few VERY experienced individuals who use LTT's forums. From Tetris/Dune champions to media personalities, bloggers, 100 year in the industry tech gods, hackers, etc.

 

I would like to have a forum for these folks to unleash their egos and stories appropriately.  I would love to hear their tales from days of old, their amazing Overclocks, their esports conquests,  or their slaying the black hats in the name of good, or even just how they've been building PCs for over 50 years.

 

I think it would be interesting to see what people come out with in the realm of tech. Let folks unwind and just spin a yarn or two, or even tell the truth even!

 

What say you?  Can we get a little subforum opened up?

My personal view on fan fiction is that as long as its about fictional characters, it's fine. If you would use actual persons without their explicit concent, it falls to same bin with deepfakes.

Agreed.  I don't know when Fan Fic starting meaning freaky ass porn but that was not my intent.  I've read some of the Supernatural (TV show) fan fic and the obsession with Sam and Dean together... wtf?

 

I wanted a place you could tell the story backing your claim of working on Microsoft servers to hack into Apple to steal Steve's fantasy football picks, that you alluded to in a thread last week, for example.

Teenage Linus stared longingly at the video card. It was almost too much. The excitement. The rush of blood. His heart fluttered. 

Linus could practically hear the card calling out to him - "Make me yours. Use me."
Would this be a repeat of the 6800 Ultra incident?
One thing was for sure though, he was determined to make it work.

Then you're more so looking for a User Experiences/ Story Time sub forum, not "fan fictions/fan fics" lol. Fan Fiction is exactly what you are trying to avoid.

It will be mostly perverted content since most are sexless, fan-fic usually goes hand in hand with weirdos and into furries and an abnormal mindset which then creates an empire for spreading of illicit material amongst users.

 

From what I have gathered most users are adults here so a fan-fic just in my mind would end up perverted.
