!RANT ALERT! If you're a <redacted> or <redacted>, refrain, I have torn down my first computer in the previous century, before you were born and before I had pbs !

 

  Done a cumulative update to Windows 11 and BEHOLD, there's a dodgy looking b on the taskbar search - BING !

 

   After having a go as a member of MS COMMUNITY, at their nonsense REMOVAL of 'I don't have internet' option and removal of 'Continue with limited setup' when clean installing Windows 11, which allows you to create a local account (as to deploy or install Windows on non-personal devices) - now I get this BING nonsense icon on the taskbar. Windows 11 PRO 22621.1344!

 

   SHIFT+F10 when setup windows 11 comes up on clean install. In command prompt type oobe\bypassnro. press Enter for restart into the good old past option of 'I don't have internet' and 'Continue with limited setup'. 

 

  Then here's Office 365. Then Xbox Game pass (ON ULTRABOOK ENTERPRISE GRADE Laptops, no less). Then ONE DRIVE - 'Only save files to this PC' option will still put OneDrive in Autostart and MS Account signed ON. So why do you ask, Microsoft, if you already choose?

   To show how pathetic and desperate the beggars for attention at our mothership Microsoft are, the options for the futuristic b icon and search bar are: Hide, Icon only, icon and label or box.

 

 HIDE - is my choice! 

 

 

   Well pressing Start button/win key and straight typing is always my choice of Search in Windows, mostly local for settings 

  

    SO RIP Search BAR, RIP little scope! 

  

 

PS: <redacted> MacOS is no choice... you can use the M1 chip and nVidia is a no go... so my gaming would be Facebook games or something, don't care about the ipad mainboards-in-an-all-in-one-computer company!

Nice rant, but please keep your commentary within the guidelines for the forum rules ... Community Standards.

 

If you have such issues with using 11, just use 7 or 10, you would be less stressed out. Just a suggestion from another older gent. (my fist pc was a 386dx)

I played games on 286, I was champion at Tetris and Dune on 486 ran like a charm. Can't remember but I think by the time of Doom we were at 586! And at the time StarCraft came out, I had groupees and paid tutoring!

 

Stressed out... no... you're judging now! I just hate Microsoft, since forever, I have this problem I'm aware of and I am trying, really trying! 

 

I was insider for W11 on 2 VMs just to see into the future, run MacOS on AMD hardware... I'm just following the consumer herding behavioural instruments for work related reasons!

I still dabble in my old games from back then, on occasion. Never got into any tournaments though. 

 

No judging, just observable commenting based on the rant.
