600 dollar budget first build

Budget (including currency): 600

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: 1080p high settings gaming and some video editing

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): 

I aldready have the moniter and going to buy during around black friday and it can run obs on the background with xplane-11 and mfsf2020 these are not the only games that i will be playing also some other games

Um... are you asking us to make recommendations now based on what might be on sale nine months from now? 

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. Black friday (or any time more than 4 weeks away) is a long time away and the market will look very different by then. Better to ask closer to the time of purchase.

 

That said, you should spend less on the case and motherboard and move that money to the CPU and GPU. It's also worth noting that you'll get alot more bang for you buck at a buget of $800 and therefore I'd recommend saving up a little extra cash between now and when you want to purchase, if you can.

Please try to be clear and specific, you'll get a better answer. Please remember to mark solutions once you have the information you need.

 

Common build advice: 1) Buy the cheapest (well reviewed) motherboard that has the features you need. Paying more typically only gets you features you won’t use. 2) only get as much RAM as you need, getting more won’t (typically) make your PC faster. 3) While I recommend getting an NVMe drive, you don’t need to splurge for an expensive drive with DRam cache, DRamless drives are fine for gamers. 4) paying for looks is fine, just don’t break the bank. 5) Tower coolers are usually good enough, unless you go top tier Intel or plan on OCing. 6) OCing is a dead meme, you probably shouldn’t bother. 7) "Bottlenecks" rarely matter and "Future-proofing" is a myth. 8) AIOs don't noticably improve performance past 240mm.

I'm a PhD student working in the fields of reinforcement learning and traffic control. PCs are one of my hobbies and I've built many PCs and performed upgrades on a few laptops (for myself, friends and family). My personal computers include 3 windows (10/11) machines and a TrueNAS server (and I'm looking to move to dual booting Linux Mint on my main machine in future). While I believe I have an decent amount of experience in spec’ing, building and troubleshooting computers, keep in mind I'm not an expert or a professional and I make mistakes.

(i really thought this gonna be a igpu system,  which is ok, but not for some of the most demanding games ever, sadly)

Important to remember that fps in MSFS will swing wildly depending on factors like whether you're cruising at 30,000 feet or buzzing downtown New York City.  But I think an RX 6600 is a perfectly decent choice for playing the sim at 1080p.

As long as iam getting about 30-40 fps i will be super happy becuase ,y current laptop is very crappy

MSFS is definitely a game where a super higher frame rate isn't really necessary, as long as the frame rate you're getting is smooth.

yeah, ok, see that's why I said at 60/high settings,  but i figured OP might be ok with less, since its a flight sim... so i guess something like this is a pretty decent budget build, if OP finds the right parts etc...
