What type of Gaming Performance Can i Expect from 4GB RTX 3050 Laptop?

aayushp

I plan on getting a ASUS ROG Strix G15 with Ryzen 7 6800H, 4GB RTX 3050, 16GB DDR5, 1TB SSD, for exactly $1200. But I am unsure if it can play games with reasonable frame rates using 4GB RTX 3050. Please help.

stable 60fps on 1440p low textures

if there is a better gpu version id highly recommend getting that one because you would benefit a ton from a better gpu

3050 desktop is already not great at all, so desktop version.... And only 4gb VRAM is a sin nowadays 👿

Depends on the CPU and RAM as well. But why don't you just youtube - 3060 laptop test and check out some benchmarks on your own?  We don't know the exact FPS for every single game.  Watch this video.

Depends. and you are from india so if your budget is 1200$, ~1L INR you should look for

3060: https://www.amazon.in/Lenovo-IdeaPad-39-62cm-Backlit-82K201UNIN/dp/B0B56CZ8Y1/ref=sr_1_3?crid=3VU8Y6WBZ0PK4&keywords=rtx+3060+laptops&qid=1676209441&sprefix=rtx+3060+laptops%2Caps%2C241&sr=8-3

RX 6600M (Better performer in games but you have to upgrade the ram to 16GB ) : https://www.amazon.in/MSI-Alpha-15-Advantage-Ryzen/dp/B0BLJCRGNW/ref=sr_1_16?keywords=Amd+advantage&qid=1676209688&s=computers&sr=1-16

If you want to go renewed route: 3070) https://www.amazon.in/Renewed-MSI-GP66-Leopard-Core/dp/B0BSXP5M8W/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=3070+laptop&qid=1676209849&s=computers&sr=1-1

Asus Rog isnt good in a budget it is very similer to their tuf lineup but price is markupped 10-20% as a "gaming tax". And you cant really say a certain perfomance in laptop Just with the specs due to Differance in thermal design, TDP and stuff

seems excessively expensive.

what you can expect: high'ish to medium settings medium to low settings @ 60fps in most modern games.

Recommend a 1080p screen if you care about performance since laptops usually have high DPI so 1440p is kind of a waste unless its a 4070ti and up or something.
