Windows 11 problem - Only zipped files

Aedon

So I've been doing some normal file management and getting my stuff in order, and I have been having this bug where windows 11 is only letting me make a zipped folder in any folder that I have. Has anybody had this problem before? How do I fix it because I'm going to be honest, it is extremely annoying.

ZIp the file in the directory and when done move it to where you want it afterwards. It placing in the directory its from so that you know what you zipped.

Sorry, but this isn't a Windows issue.

Windows built-in ZIP support requires you to simply right-click on your file or folder and pick "Compress to ZIP file".

What you are showing is something specific to WinRAR. If you have a problem with WinRAR you can post on the "Programs, Apps and Website" section of this forum to see if someone can help you. If you can't get help, see WinRAR support channels to help you in using their software (I don't want to be mean. What I mean is that you are paying a lot for this software, just for the support... so might as well use it, is all I am saying)

i think he wants to make a new folder?  granted im not sure, but shouldn't there a "create new folder" option in this menu (doesn't have anything to do with zip, but i think thats what OP probably meant to say?)
