Awkward, but do I ask questions concerning the Steam Deck here or in Mobile gaming or where else? This is about controllers.

So I consider the Deck sort of a PC, definitively not a console. Would I get good answers in the Prebuilt system subforum?
Now Mobile gaming says phones and tablets but me wanting to use controllers doesn't really make it fit in there anyway.
So I hope it is okay to post this here.   

My actual question is which controllers work the best and are the easiest to connect with the Steam Deck.
I basically want to take the Deck to families houses, hook it up to their PC and then play games with them
while the Deck is connected to its Dock.

Preferably without the use of cables between the deck and the Controllers. 

Now since the Deck doesn't run Windows I have no ideas which controllers would be best for this scenario. 
Otherwise I would just get more XBox360 controllers and use the dongle thingy for them. 

Can someone help me with advice for this?

i mean i don't think there's a 100% correct answer to this, but to me its clearly a "portable" PC, like winGDP (sp?) etc. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

it... does? you just have to install it.

 

as for controllers, i don't actually know but would surprise me if it doesn't at least support xbox controllers.
