Logitech g pro hero trouble when left click dragging

bought the mouse back in 2019 and today ive been having issues when clicking down to dragging things around the screen on youtube and in games, ive tried to blow air under the left click, replugging the mouse into a different USB port, reinstalling the logitech g hub software and its still happening, its getting quite annoying and im not sure if its now fully broken or if its something fixable, any advice here would be awesome ,thanks

If it double clicks sometimes or if it looses the grip while you're dragging something, that means the switch has gone bad.

You have three options; replacing the switch (requires soldering skills, a spare switch and a set of spare mouse feet), opening the switch and fixing the metal spring/lever or replacing the mouse.

common problem with the mice...the switch can be replaced if you want to tinker but a quick and easy solution is just to slide a piece of standard print paper between the switch itself and the button. on the leaf type mice from logitech over the years I have used the paper trick often and it works. just dirt cheap switches in relatively expensive mice.

 

I finally stopped wasting my money on them when I doscovered the steel series rival 650..almost a clone but no issues so far and cheaper where I live but that does not mean i will not end up with the same issue in the future.

well damn, was hoping it was simple as blowing air under the left click to clear some dust or something but looks like its time to use a new mouse
