I believe that's a resistor for the power regulation, and that's pretty obvious something is missing there, looks like someone was asleep on the job.

No it shows up as 3GB but the bus speed is way low. Instead of 384-Bit its 274-Bit

It looks like the card isn't missing something but just not populated since it may not be needed for power regulation but I'm not too sure why the it would be showing a lower Bit.

Apparently its supposed to not be there. Heres a pic from Newegg but it looks way cleaner. The one on my card looks rusted almost but the one on Newegg looks like there was never one installed.

 

MSI Phone Support Update: They are sending me a label to send it back to them and they are going to send me another one. They wanted me to pay for the shipping and I said "Hell NO" you sent it to me broken THANK YOU!

UPDATE:

 

I'm having the DAMNEST luck with my computer right now. I've RMA'd three GPU's to MSI and they have all been DOA on arrival, the one that should arrive by the end of next week is supposed to be burned in before arriving however if it has the same problem as my last one (COOLER WASN'T ATTACHED) they'll just end up frying it. My CPU I got back a while ago has integrated graphics problems however the power went out last night and they all seem to be solved now :mellow:  and I sent back my PSU because it was making weird arcing noises (New one back, problem fixed).

 

 

To the update part of this post, I'm 16 and in debt. DON'T WORRY, my seasonal job starts in a month and a half!!!! At which point I'll have to wait a month to get my first paycheck which about 1/2 of will go completely towards my $300 in debt and the rest to the truck problems I have to get my check engine light to turn off. Soooo.. around June expect some small updates and towards the end of summer expect at least one large update.

 

 

THE QUESTION?

 

So I need a blu-ray drive (Plex) and a better place to store my HDD's (5.25" drive bays) so my ideas were to either stealth the optical drive and get these-

- to put my HDD's in or get this-

- and then put the optical drive in as well and not even worry about stealthing anything.

 

Whats your opinion?

Guess only one person looked, lol, anyways. Just some general info here, my computer now fully works again after three RMA's of a 780 Lightning and I'll try to get pics up of the whole build ASAP with the RAM installed. This is the first and last major update of this year most likely. I crashed my truck and its gonna be $2000 to get the dents popped out and it repainted but there will most likely be some smaller stuff like some HDD's or painting or something of that nature. I hope you're enjoying the build so far. I hope I can continue it on. Check out the update ABOVE.

Also as a afterthought. A little #throwbackthursday to my old motherboard.
