Rx 6650 xt or rx 6700 non-xt?

So which one is better buy for casual 1080p gaming? 

 

6700 non-xt is around 20 euro more expensive. 

 

And will 500w psu will be good for both ? 

Rest system : r5 3600(no oc), 16gb 3200mhz ram, 2hdds, 1 m.2, 5 rgb fans whit controller

On a PCI-E 4.0 platform they perform about the same, sometimes the 6650XT beats the 6700 non-XT.

On a PCI-E 3.0 or older, the 6700 beats the 6650XT easily. That's because the 6700 uses 16 pci lanes while the 6650XT uses 8.

16 PCI-E 3.0 lanes and 8 PCI-E 4.0 lanes have roughly the same bandwith, but 8 PCI-E 3.0 lanes has half of that.

 

So, if you're on a B550 or X570 board, it doesn't matter which card. But if you're on X470, B450 or lower, the 6700 is a better option.

Yeah I have b450 board, but maybe, I plan to upgrade board later

Not something I'd do with a 5600. Replacing the whole platform maybe...

 

The 6700 non-XT also has more VRAM which is more "future proof" whatever that is/means.

Well, I tend to use one gpu for 3-4 years, so future proofnes is a good deal

Me too. My 5700XT was bought in November 2019 and I'm already considering replacing it.

It's a card performing close to a 6600XT, in some cases even better, and pretty-much the only game I play is PUBG on 1440p where with my settings I have a lock of 120 fps.

Cause it's 3+ years old and I'd like 144+ and the option to play newer games on high refresh too. XD

And there are some 3Dmark benchmarks I can't run, so that's another issue I'd like to solve.

But is it really 40 euros worth? Just saw video of cheapest rx 6700 non-xt (which I will buy) sapphire radeon vs asus rog strix rx 6650 xt, and they have the same performance, like 5-10 fps difference.

Hard to say what's the value of 5 fps...

6700 will have some more fps + 2GB more VRAM with 15% better bandwidth + full PCie 16x bandwidth

To me it's worth $40 but to each his valuation

Waiting until the better new series can make you wait for all of your life, so ...

And really new gen cards are so overpriced I'm not sure they 'll be that better on the sub $500 segment

If I had to buy a GPU now I'd get a RX6800 (non XT) , for $500 you have something that performs between a 3070Ti and 3080, perfect for 1440P and with plenty of VRAM (16GB)

6800 starts at 600 euros in my region it's totally out of the game for my budget

Since you can't upgrade Vram that alone is easily worth ~50 bucks more for longevity of the card.

They tested on PCI-E 4.0. you have 3.0.

I won't play more than 1080p(no streaming, no graphics work )

BeQuiet SP9 400W isn't enough. Seems both 6650XT and 6700 are out of the question.

Maybe a 6600 + a PSU?

Well If I have to, I'll buy psu aswell(will test whit my 400w one), so they both are still in the game. Still can't decide
