Are all monitors KVM switch compatible?

Go to solution Solved by asyncvoid,

No, monitors don't need special hardware to interact with a KVM switch. It should also work for your TV if your KVM has an output that your TV accepts, else you may need to convert the KVM's output, like if it it only has DisplayPort, for instance.

Title pretty much, say I buy a KVM switch and connect any monitor to it.

  1. Do the monitors need to have some internal specific hardware?
  2. Do TVs work with KVM switches?
