I have two "COOLER MASTER MF120 HALO" attached to add header of "ASUS ROG STRIX Z790-F GAMING WIFI DDR5"

It was all working fine but suddenly colors of fan are showing wrong for some colors.

Eg, if I set white in Aura Sync, my cooler master fans will show Red.

Same happen with a shade of yellow:

Also notice how some fan only have outline but not the red in center.

Has anyone experience this before? Anyone know how to fix it?

you got your side and bottom fans the wrong way. but try each color red, blue green and look at the mb to so if the pins are the same. some move them like rbg. if there running of the same header then probably one color led burned out.

I have dyslexia plz be kind to me. dont like my post dont read it or respond thx

also i edit post alot because you no why...

At first I thought two of the led in fan was burned, because when I set my fan to red, two of them had some part which stayed off.

Then I tried removing and attaching things backs (RGB connectors).

I dont know why but swapping two of these cables makes everything work fine.

After swapping it looks like this now:

And these are the pins:

Result: (Its working as expected. Showing white instead of red which was shown earlier.)

But:

Question arises is what was the issue 🤣

And bigger mistery for me, what is use of second connectore, becase even if I remove that connector in ADD GEN2_3 port, nothing happens.

All fans light stays on. Its like that connector is for just show. (I know it must be used for something)

Anyway, its working now....

Thanks. (Let me know if anyone knows use of that second connector in ADD Port)

There are 6 fans, set of 2.

All 6 fans RGB is controlled by single connector which is connected in ADD GEN 2_2

3Amp  ARGB header.
3,456 Amps when single color in fans

5+ Amps when white

u see where this is going? 😛

In product specification, max rating for single fan is 0.8 A. Which means it must go up till 4.8 A for all 6. (Not sure, not good with current calculations)

However its still working. All 6 shows white color.

A. Does insufficient current result in burn down?

B. Be my messiah and show me the correct way to do this.

you can only have 4 of those fans on one connector if u are planing to do white light

that 0.8a is for fan not the argb. white used the most power as it use all 3 leds at once. you can buy a power hub that pulls power form the psu isnted of the header thow.

no  0,8 is ARGB,   0,25 is the fan spin

Are you sure about top one? Because it is 3 liquid cooler fans + 3 case fans + 1 liquid cooler display = 7 things in the top port.

most of these have 8 to 10, maybe 12 leds in them. so thats max 2 amps if we go with 12 leds per device

BTW what do you mean by "you got your side and bottom fans the wrong way"?

Are the flowing air in wrong direction?
