Both are quite different systems peripheral wise.

Your custom one has a 24" 1080p 144hz monitor

The Alienware comes with a much better and more expensive 32" 2560x1600 panel.

However as far as the custom PC itself goes it's much better, but you are going quite overkill on some parts, and others look a bit silly.

Not really much need for 1200w PSU's with that setup,

RAID0 with 120GB SSDs?  Get a 256GB one or a 512GB one with that sort of money spent on a PC.

A need for a Blu Ray drive? without modding, 5.25" drive bay stuff looks horrible in the 900D.

K|ingP|in cards? Just get regular 780ti's and save a lot of money

Is there any use case at all as well? Please follow the instructions for posts like this and add your budget, use case and things to the post ;)

From the look of the post as well, you probably know that an alienware PC obviously costs more for what you get (especially with the laugh at the end) but you could have made the custom PC so much more powerful for the same price to get your point across more if you tried.

But we already know...

If it's serious then forget that last part and take into account the recommendations above.

Custom, also I would maybe drop the 900D if you are not going custom watercooling, go for like a 750 or H440, they are smaller, and still can do watercolling, but smaller. So the money you save depending on how much it will be, you can put for a maybe a 4930k.

This setup includes a 4k monitor for relaxed gaming at a beautiful resolution, and a 144hz monitor for twitch fast response times. (Although it did go $100 over your budget, I think for a $5000 build you can manage the slight increase of costs)

Shit if you got $5k to blow just get a 4770k or 4930K 2 780 ti's and custom watercooling.

Like why else would you go for 900D

Also you have noneed for 1200W for SLI 850+ will run everything very easily! :)

Emmh... Maybe consider killing yourself before you talk to me?

To explain my choice a bit: I dont think 4k is a viable choice ATM, so I prefer a good 3 monitor setup over a 4k, I also add both speaker and headphone because IMO speaker is better when you want to just sit back and enjoy a movie or games, also I personally dont like having a headphone on 24/24 plus I live alone so I wont bother with one. I do see when would you need one though, so I add in the Kraken. I also choose a 1300w PSU over a 1000W that I initially want to go with in case you ever going to do 4 ways SLI or so, plus it's fully modular so you can have all the cable management you want.

But really, with 5k, I'd ditch the CPU cooler plus all those fan, and use that money to go for a full water cooler setup. You can always get someone to build it for you if you cant by yourself.

Overkill in my opinion. You can build a great gaming PC for a fraction of what you're wanting to spend. $2,700 and you can build a gaming PC capable of playing anything you throw at it. For Example:

Game-Debate.com rates a system like this a 10/10, which means you can play any game smoothly at high settings and you don't have to have an extreme budget to do it.

You should downgrade the ram to 32 gb, the 900D to H440, the 4930k to 4770k and add custom watercooling to all parts, you will NOT regret it, watercooling is the best thing on earth, you won't hear your system or see high temps and you're able to OC very much!

Emmh... Maybe consider killing yourself before you talk to me?
