Hi welcome to the forum and we havnt heard anything because nothing has been released yet i dont think there any official release dates but alienwares is suppose to be late 2014 so i guess others will be around that time too i think it was hyped a bit much and the audience they aiming at prefer to build steam machines them selves which is what has been happening lately i think there is some build logs in that thread.

your build is almost the same as mine.

They are still nowhere close to releasing. Even the operating system is still in a beta state, although it seems to be improving fast.

 

The other game devs and game engines which have announced Linux support are also still in the process of getting their tech fine-tuned.

Things should be more concrete by the end of the year.

Gabe Newell stated at CES that 13 companies were going to build steam boxes. Steam OS was just released mid December of last year and they are still working on the kinks. They have redesigned the controller as well. I would say maybe Q3 but more likely Q4 of this year they should be out. I wonder if there will be any launch titles?
