Okay to disable RtkAudUService64 on Startup?

Do I need RtkAudUService64?  A quick Google search suggests that it's not essential, but I just wanted to double check and see if anyone knows for sure if disabling it on startup will cause any issues.

its a Realtek audio service... it shouldn't cause any issues,  but obviously maybe it would mess up something with the audio, don't really know until you try, especially on a laptop 

 

is there a reason you want to disable it?

It's part of the audio driver package so technically I would say it's essential. Is there any particular reason why you want to disable it? 

Apparently it some versions have been known to be unnecessarily resource intensive, likely a bug. Uninstalling the Realtek audio device from device manager and having Windows re-install on next boot seems to be the common fix.

Id recommend disabling it as I believe it processes the audio (which almost always reduces quality). The only problem is that the realtek control panel wont work.

I just prefer to have as few apps/services as possible running on startup.
